Turning Point Meditative Intensives
We are holding a series of four meditation intensives in Tarrytown, NY, leading up to the summer solstice. Our intent is to provide a forum for people studying under Rama’s lineage to regroup and to individually and collectively take our practice to a higher level.
We are calling this the Turning Point series because:
- Many of us are sensing a transitional opportunity approaching, and that extra “inward facing” effort applied right now will amplify our ability to spread the Dharma – more so than at other times.
- Interestingly enough, the physical location of the event was a Turning Point in the Revolutionary War, when the head of British Secret Intelligence was captured while orchestrating the surrender of West Point.
Details
This is not for the beginner, as it will be expected that the attendee will have been practicing meditation to Rama’s music and will not need any instruction.
We will start around 7pm on Saturday evenings, to get the optimum power of the sunsets. I have windows facing due west so the sunsets are exquisite.
Each night will have a brief break at the midpoint, experienced in silence. At the end we will have another brief “quiet” period for solidification, allowing some to leave if they wish. People will then be invited to stay for a little while and discuss a Dharma topic and have a cup of my famous Tibetan Tea (Cha) taught to me by Tibetan Monks in Nepal.
